The Beauty of Both

Take a moment to arrive exactly as you are.
I want to explore the idea of contrast - the truth that two seemingly opposite emotions can exist at the same time.
For me, this has felt especially present lately. After a summer of having more time with my girls - slow mornings, adventures, being together so much - there was a real sweetness in the start of the school year.
But there was also sadness. A realization of just how quickly these seasons of life pass, and how precious our time together really is.
And I've been thinking about how often we try to hold onto the joy and push away the sadness. But maybe the sadness isn't something to get rid of.
Maybe we feel the ache because we have something worth loving.
Maybe we need the contrast to fully experience the beauty.
So, rather than trying to choose between ease + effort, expansion + contraction, joy + sadness, we'll practice making space for both.
Notice where you can soften into what feels good - and where you can stay present with what feels challenging.
Nothing needs to be different.
Let this practice be a reminder that we don't have to choose one side of life. We can hold space for it all.
